Celebrate Librarian Appreciation Day

September 24, 2007 · 3 Comments

Today is a day which we should be showing our appreciation for those people who work so hard finding resources and helping our students to meet the demands of the various assignments teachers assign. I’d especially like to thank those blogging librarians who give me all kinds of great insights and links to various  informative sights.

    Kelly,

Thank you for the note of appreciation. I must say however, that it is through bloggers like yourself, administrators and teachers, that inspire me as a teacher-librarian. Reading your thoughts, ideas and perspectives about education, technology and change challenge me to learn more about how the library can be a integral part of the new learning landscape.

Thanks for listing me in your appreciation day list! It is just so nice to hear back from a reader, and to keep making connections that help us strengthen our work together. I have to thank YOU for contributing your leadership perspective (and strengths) to your readers worldwide. Super!

    Kelly,
Thanks for the reminder about the important roll media specialists have in our schools. So often they are “left out” of the loop. Many schools underestimate their power and influence. I am excited to visit the blogs-thanks for sharing the links.
