Well, it’s been a while since I did one of these posts. I’ve been busy with many different things and I’ve been doing more reading and commenting. I’ve run across some great new bloggers. The one I’m going to highlight today is Learning Landscapes. This is a relatively new blog, just two months old. I believe the writer is eve and I found her after she commented on one of my posts. I visited the blog and found some great posts. Now the posts are not very long but don’t let that fool you. eve does a great job of highlighting things and posing great questions. I sometimes forget that I need to shorten my own posts and get to the point. eve does this well.
What did you learn today?
As usual, I suggest that people drop by and add a comment or two to encourage eve in her efforts. I know that all new bloggers are looking for some input as they blog into the nether world. If you haven’t done the same for the others I’ve mentioned in earlier new face blogs, please do so. They’ve some great nuggets just waiting for you.

Balancing the work of creating your own blog and visiting others’ is truly a challenge at times. But I gain so much from seeing what others are doing. It isn’t just the layout of their blog, of course, but who they are as people, what matters to them, and how they express themselves.
In that vein, I believe also, that the length of one’s posts is completely dependent upon what the author believes his or her blog represents. Of course the audience is always considered — especially given the very interactive nature of blogging.
When I write, it is predominantly for me — a processor for my loud and tireless brain. The interaction, attention, and commentary from others is the cherry on the sundae.
Many thanks for the pingback!
Kelly. Thanks for the comments. I know that when I write, I’m trying to figure things out for myself and this is one way of me doing it. I also write to comment on the thoughts and ideas of others as I try to construct meaning from the vast amount of information that is available. Commentary, for me, also lets me know how others view the things that I am discussing. In that vein, I appreciate all the comments, regardless of whether they agree with me or not as they provide me with food for thought. So thanks for yours! Eve, no problem!
