Well, I picked up an interesting tool from another blog. Cool Cat Teacher mentioned the tool Meebo that allows you to have a IM on your site sot hat people can IM from your site. It took me a while but I now have one on this site which will allow me to communicate with others in that way. I think this could be a good tool for the teaching if you need students cannot reach you at the school. Also, it will allow students to begin to communicate with others about work they are doing, if that is what you want to do. To find the site, follow this link and you’ll be able to start meeboling in just a few minutes. I’ve visited Cool Cat Teacher’s site and left a message via the meebo. I’ll see how this works as I try to incorporate a few new things into what I am doing. From what I’ve seen thus far, the new ideas that I’ve come across are neat but unless you have the time and are able to incorporate them into how you think/teach/learn, I could see them being daunting.
